Any incorporated cooperative or credit union in the Kootenay/ Boundary region of Southeastern British Columbia that carries out business primarily in the region, is eligible for membership.
Members are required to subscribe to the number of shares equaling in value the annual dues payable in the member’s first year, and disregarding fractional shares. e.g. If a member’s annual dues are $375.00, the member must subscribe to $370 in shares, or 37 shares. Membership Applications must include payment for 1 share with a $10 par value.
A decision to decrease the dues for newly-incorporated co-ops applying for first time membership with the BCCA was made. The dues are $50 per year for the first 2 years.
