Bio: The co-op exists to develop public forests in the Harrop-Procter area according to site sensitive, ecologically based forestry practices which are modeled on Silva Forest Foundation planning and approved by the Harrop-Procter Watershed Protection Society; and, to stimulate locally based employment from these forest lands in a manner that is ecologically sustainable, and socially and economically equitable. Any resident of Harrop-Procter may become a member of the co-op. Decisions are made for the benefit of the community as a whole. Harrop-Procter Forest Products is a subsidiary company of the Harrop-Procter Community Co-operative.
